Longhorsley LMA Show - May 2006 As usual a great event with plenty to see and buy. Unfortunately the weather let us all down this year with some large models unable to fly or risk - well done to those pilots who risked all!
Longhorsley Autumn Fly-In 25th September 2005
All models, Proof of Insurance & BMFA 'A' Cert.minimum. Many thanks to the Northumberland MFC for an excellent day, well organised free refreshments and approachable pilots! A special thanks to Ted Allison & Mike jackson of the LMA for their time and advice. There are no trade stands just pure flying (mark this one in next years calendar) highly recommended by Rob, Grant, Fletcher & Stu. S.A.A. Nationals - At Castle Kennedy Airfield 2005. The event took place over the weekend 22/23rd May. Displays also include Jet's as their is a 150mtr long tarmac runway. A word of warning, the bulk of the models/flying display takes place on the Saturday this is the day to attend! £4.00 entrance fee. Toilets & refreshments available.
LMA - Longhorsley 29-30th May 2005 One of the Large Model Associations annual events. What can I say without doubt a truly fantastic show with 1st class large models and flying. Entrance charge £4 adults (car FOC) very well organised with toilets and refreshments. A truly great day out for all ages. Turbines Majorca (Spain) May 2004 Held in the south of the island unbelievably in a farmers field with a carpet runway! Brave jet owners with all that dry soil blowing and messing up the carpet, let alone the bearings! The models were great and the flying spectacular well worth the trip.
